BUDGET-FRIENDLY WAYS TO SAY “I LOVE YOU”

Bring me coffee in bed and I will coo over you for the rest of the day.  Make me dinner, or write me a love letter and I am putty in your hands.    While an unlimited budget can do wondrous romantic things like whisk someone off for a chalet weekend or deliver dozens of roses, not all of us are lucky enough to have chunks of change to spend on an ongoing basis on those we love (or lust). 

The challenge then becomes (a) finding affordable ways to display our affection and achieve that warm, fuzzy feeling from our counterparts while (b) not looking cheap!

Milestone moments like anniversaries and holidays will likely warrant a more elaborate (and expensive) display, but based on the belief that lasting intimacy comes from feeling appreciated and wanted every day, here are a few of my budget-friendly favorites:

1. Buy a box of Crayola Washable Window Markers for about $6.00. Use them to write loving or sexy messages on any mirror or glass surface.   When the day is over, simply wipe clean and start with a new message the next morning.

2. Make a list of all of the reasons you love/lust your partner.  Add everything you can think of from their fabulous smile, to the way they laugh, or how you feel when you are with them.   Find some quiet time in the evening and read the list to your partner.

3. Put a love note or card addressed to your partner in the mail for no occasion other than to say how fabulous they are and how much you adore them.
