SAVE TIME AND THE ENVIRONMENT WITH EARTH FRIENDLY DISPOSABLE PLATES, CUPS AND UTENSIL!

Everyone loves to throw parties on a hot summer day with friends while the barbeque works overtime.  My fiancé can confirm that I am not one to wash dishes, so I love the convenience of disposable plates and cups, as many busy people do.

Disposable plates and cups are perfect for picnics, parties, and even busy nights, with the downside being the effect on the environment:  you may be killing hundreds of trees each year, and if you use plastic or foam plates the results are even worse.

Thankfully, there is a solution and it does not involve washing the dishes. Yay!!!

You can actually buy recycled paper plates that are made from recycled paper. No longer do you have to feel guilty about buying them for parties or home use.
           
You can even find plates that have colorful designs. Companies now feature designs made from water based inks, eliminating the need for use of petroleum products, making for a process that is both chlorine and chemical free, using recycled paper components that are low in toxins.

Bamboo plates are also an option:  they are renewable and since bamboo grows quickly and with little effort and they decompose in about 4-6 months.  Another way to make your summer fun more environmentally friendly is to use disposable flatwear, totally compostable and made from 80% potato or corn and 20% soy. 

The downside is that you will still find your choices limited on the number of brands offering recycled products, and you will pay a slightly higher price for them (the average is about $0.20 more per plate).
