Ranging from international sounds to Miami-inspired tracks, this “spin-tacular” line-up will be bringing the heat. One of the world’s largest and most anticipated events of the year, Winter Party Festival 2013 is expected to draw 10,000 revelers from around the world for many pulse-raising events.
Recorder, remixer and DJ, Chris Cox has a regular rotation of sold out international DJ performances and studio productions that yield nothing but chart-topping hits. Cox will be spinning at Ignite on Thursday, March 7th. In addition, he has a discography of more than 400 productions, remixes and mix compilations as well as a string of 43 No. 1 Billboard dance club hits. In 2004, Cox received a "Best Dance Recording" Grammy nomination for his co-production of the Cher song “Love One Another.” As a solo artist, Cox continues to create mind-blowing mixes for artists like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.
DJ Tony Moran, a natural star on the turntables, holds 800 titles, dozens of Top 40 hits and countless No. 1 dance singles to his credit. This two-time Grammy-nominated DJ has written, remixed and produced for such artists as Michael Jackson, Patti LaBelle, Celine Dion and Cher. Moran’s latest club banger, “If I Was Your Boyfriend” featuring Anastacia, is receiving massive club and radio support around the world. He will be pumping the latest and greatest in House music at Ignite on Thursday, March 7th.
When you take a true legend of House music -- Chicago’s very own Ralphi Rosario -- and team him up with one of the most successful DJs in circuit history -- Miami’s Abel -- it becomes musical magic. This duo has been nominated for a Grammy and is primarily known for their remixes and productions on popular songs such as “Only Girl in the World” and most recently, “Papi.” The excellence produced in the studio is exceeded in the DJ booth when Rosabel combines strong beats and provides an all-night vibe that resonates with the crowd. They’ll do so at Urge: Mercury Rising on Friday, March 8th.
The Under One Sun Pool Party, a Winter Party Festival staple, on Saturday, March 9th, will feature DJ Rafael Calvente. Starting his musical career in 2002, he is now the resident of three of the hottest parties in Rio de Janeiro. In 2008, he was invited to join the Saturday residency of The Week Rio and play at the Diverscite Festival in Montreal. In 2009, he began touring around the world, including Mexico, Peru, Vancouver, Paris, Miami, Germany and London.
DJ Alyson Calagna from Boulder, Colorado, will be headlining the Flare event on Saturday, March 9th. With an international list of appearances, Calagna has perfected a sound which is globally influenced and instantly recognizable. Her music has appeared on NBC, MTV and the USA network and she has also released her music on major dance labels like Intenso and Star69. No stranger to circuit events, Calagna has graced the stages of White Party, Gay Disney and Alegria.
Jack-of-all-trades DJ Phil Romano will also be gracing the Flare stage on Saturday, March 9th. Hailing from Barcelona, his sets are infused with a style best described as Iberamerican -- incorporating the best elements of Iberian and Spanish house. Romano has held residencies at some of Europe’s most recognized parties: Brussell’s La Demance, London and Berlin’s Hustlaball and Moscow’s Propaganda. In 2009, he exploded onto the North American scene in Atlanta and Washington D.C. and has been headlining parties and festivals ever since.
DJ Herbie James’ sound has been heard and celebrated at top South Florida clubs including The Edge, Liquid, Twist, Salvation and Warsaw Ballroom. James will be spinning at Sweat on Saturday, March 9th. He has been a part of Winter Party extravaganzas for many years and currently has a residence at The Ramrod in Ft. Lauderdale. James, with his soulful, groovy and heavy bass lines, is one of the favored DJs to the muscled and leather glitterati of South Florida.
DJ Brett Henrichsen from New York will be spinning at the infamous Beach Party on Sunday, March 10th. He is the mastermind of Masterbeat CDs and website and he rose to the top of DJ stardom after appearances at several major circuit parties in the U.S. including San Diego Zoo Party, White Party Palm Springs and Masterbeat New Years Los Angeles. Henrichsen also routinely plays abroad in Amsterdam, Ibiza, London and Paris.
Another Winter Party favorite, DJ Joe Gauthreaux, will also be spinning at the Beach Party. He is one of the most sought after DJs in the industry with a resume full of club appearances that spans 14 years -- from events during Winter Party Festival to Atlantis Cruises to Black Party New York, his name is legendary. In the past two years, he has raised the bar for himself as he began producing his own remixes which include “You Are” by Tony Moran featuring Frenchie Davis and “The Power of Music” by Kristine W. among many others.
WE Party: Formula-Boiling Point will also feature DJ Manuel de Diego, one of the most popular DJs in Spain and WE Party’s own resident DJ. His sound has been around the best clubs in the world including Space in Ibiza, Pacha in New York and The Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris. His sets are full of energy and are always combined with an intensity that gives partygoers an extra motivation to hit the dance floor.
WE Party: Formula-Boiling Point, on Sunday, March 10th, will also feature Italian-based DJ Giangi Cappai. Giangi is a self-declared citizen of the world. Under the pseudonym, “Alma Matris,” he has composed popular singles like “Rapido” and “Circuito,” projecting him into the tribal heavyweights of the world. When he’s not traveling around the globe, he’s working on his amazing production portfolio which includes artists like Madonna, Offer Nissim and Donna Blakely.
DJ Paulo has played some of the most prestigious parties in the world, from NYC’s Black Party and Pines Party to Orlando’s Wonderworld. He is responsible for a collection of remixes that have topped the Billboard Dance Charts for artists that include Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Adele.
