INCREDIBLE BURGERS WITH RED PEPPERS & PARMESAN

Serves 4

2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg
1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
1lb lean ground beef
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp dried basil or 1 tsp chopped fresh
½ tsp dried oregano or 1 tsp chopped fresh
½ tsp dried thyme or 1 tsp chopped fresh
½ tsp sea salt

Method

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl.  Mix well.  Shape into 8 patties.
  2. Sauté the patties on high heat for 5 minutes per side.
  3. Serve immediately with a variety of condiments.

Variation

Replace the ground beef with ground chicken or thurkey.

Low-Fat Option

Use extra-lean ground beef.  Use low-fat Parmesan cheese.
